European ADRs Move Lower in Wednesday Trading

In continental Europe, the gainers were led by consumer goods company Unilever (UL) and 3D printer company Materialise (MTLS), which rose 1.7% and 1.5%, respectively. They were followed by furniture maker Natuzzi (NTZ) and pharmaceutical firm Novo Nordisk (NVO), which were up 1.4% and 1.2%, respectively.

The decliners in continental Europe were led by biotech firm Forward Pharma (FWP) and biopharmaceutical company Grifols (GRFS), which declined 6.5% and 4%, respectively. They were followed by biopharmaceutical company Cellectis (CLLS) and telecommunications operator Telefonica (TEF), which lost 3.9% and 3.8%, respectively.

In the UK and Ireland, the gainers were led by software firm Endava (DAVA) and telecommunications operator Vodafone (VOD), which added 3.8% and 1.8%, respectively. They were followed by electricity and gas utility firm National Grid (NGG) and construction materials supplier CRH (CRH), which were up 1.5% and 0.6%, respectively.

The decliners in the UK and Ireland were led by biopharmaceutical companies Akari Therapeutics (AKTX) and NuCana (NCNA), which lost 7.6% and 6.9% respectively. They were followed by cruise line operator Carnival Corporation (CUK) and biopharmaceutical company Mereo BioPharma Group (MREO), which were down 4.8% and 3.4% respectively.
