12:55 PM EDT, 09/12/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Denmark's central bank Thursday said it lowered the current-account rate, the rate of interest on certificates of deposit, the lending rate and the discount rate by 25bps, effective the following day.

The interest rate reduction is a consequence earlier Thursday of the reduction by the European Central Bank of its main monetary policy rate, the deposit facility rate, by 25bps, said the policy statement. As a consequence, the monetary policy spread compared with the eurozone will remain unchanged.

Effective from Friday, Danmarks Nationalbank's interest rates are:

-- Current-account rate at 3.10;

-- Certificates of deposit rate at 3.10;

-- Lending rate at 3.25%;

-- Discount rate: 3.10%.
