04:52 PM EST, 12/09/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Innergex Renewable Energy (INE.TO) after trade Monday said that three of its wind projects, co-developed with Indigenous partners, have been chosen in BC Hydro's latest Request for Proposals for new renewable energy generation.
The projects; K2, Nithi Mountain, and Stewart Creek, represent a combined gross capacity of 560 megawatts, the company added.
The projects are set to begin commercial operations between 2030 and 2031. The power purchase agreements with provincially owned BC Hydro are expected to be 30-year contracts, linked to a percentage of the Consumer Price Index, the company said.
The projects are subject to final contracts with BC Hydro and suppliers, as well as the successful completion of permit application processes and regulatory requirements, the company added.
Innergex shares closed up $0.08 to $8.51 on the Toronto Stock Exchange.
