Bombardier (BBD-B.TO,) said Friday it added a new line maintenance station in Perth, Australia, and plans to open a second line maintenance station in Sydney this year.
The aircraft manufacturer said the new stations complements its customer service footprint in the region and expands its network of certified aircraft technicians.
"The addition of the Perth Line Maintenance Station is an integral part of our overall mission to enhance OEM support for our customers in Australia," said Paul Sislian, executive vice president, aftermarket services and strategy at Bombardier.
The company said technical engineers supporting the new location in Perth are certified for all Learjet, Challenger series and Global series aircraft.
Bombardier said the Perth Line Maintenance Station increases the number of its global stations to 10, providing customers with light scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, including Aircraft on Ground maintenance support.
Bombardier's Mobile Response Trucks are also operating in Melbourne, Perth and Sydney.
The company's Class B shares were last seen down $1.46 to $84.38 on the Toronto Stock Exchange.
