07:09 AM EDT, 04/21/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Orvana Minerals (ORV.TO) over the holiday weekend said second-quarter production at its Orovalle mine in Spain fell to 6,792 gold ounces, down from 7,631 ounces in the prior quarter.

Orovalle is forecast by Orvana to reach the lower end of the 2025 production guidance of 37,000 - 41,000 ounces.

The company also produced 0.9 million copper pounds from the mine during the quarter, down from 1.1 million in the first quarter. Orovalle expects to exceed the higher end of the 2025 production guidance of 2,400 - 2,700 K lbs.

The mill at Orovalle processed 111,272 tones, 6% lower than the prior quarter. The plant was shut down for 28 days in the quarter.

Orvana reported that drilling is underway at its two other mines in northern Spain, the El Valle Boinas and Ortosa-Godan.
