07:50 AM EDT, 04/21/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Anaergia (ANRG.TO) on Monday said that it signed a binding letter of intent with Capwatt Biomethane Unipessoal to design and build nine facilities for biomethane production from agro-industry waste in Portugal, Spain, and Italy.
The company expects projects under the agreement to be completed within the next 30 months. Anaergia expects these projects to generate more than $60 million in total revenue for it during this period.
"This new agreement strengthens our ongoing relationship with Capwatt, building on previous collaborations where Anaergia's technical expertise and equipment were utilized at two biomethane facilities in Portugal and one in Italy," said Anaergia Chief Executive Assaf Onn.
Shares of the company closed down 2% to $0.89 on Thursday on the Toronto Stock Exchange.
