Asian ADRs Move Sharply Lower in Tuesday Trading

In North Asia, the gainers were led by aluminum producer Aluminum Corporation of China Ltd. (ACH) and oil and gas company PetroChina Co. Ltd. (PTR), which rose 6.3% and 2%, respectively. They were followed by online financial planning platform Jianpu Technology (JT) and steel maker POSCO (PKX), which were up 1.2% and 0.6%.

The decliners in North Asia were led by used car ecommerce platform Uxin Ltd. (UXIN) and video game publisher The9 Ltd. (NCTY), which fell 15% and 7.7%, respectively. They were followed by travel company Tuniu Corp. (TOUR) and consumer lending firm China Finance Online Co. Ltd. (JRJC), which were down 7.1% and 6.7%, respectively.

In South Asia, the gainers were led by mining company Vedanta Ltd. (VEDL), which rose 0.8%, followed by telecommunications operator PLDT (PHI) and Telekomunikasi Indonesia (TLK), which were up 0.7% and 0.4%, respectively.

The decliners in South Asia were led by biotech firm ASLAN Pharmaceuticals Ltd. (ASLN) and IT company Sify Technologies Ltd. (SIFY), which lost 6.1% and 4%, respectively. They were followed by digital entertainment company Sea Ltd. (SE) and ICICI Bank Ltd. (IBN), which dropped 3.4% and 2.8%, respectively.
