In continental Europe, the gainers were led by consumer goods company Unilever (UL) and telecommunications operator Telefonica (TEF), which rose 7.8% and 1.5% respectively. They were followed by telecommunications operator Orange (ORAN), which was up 1.4%.
The decliners in continental Europe were led by furniture maker Natuzzi (NTZ) and 3D printer company voxeljet (VJET), which fell 15% and 11% respectively. They were followed by biopharmaceutical company DBV Technologies (DBVT) and luxury ecommerce platform MYT Netherlands Parent (MYTE), which lost 10% and 7.4%.
In the UK and Ireland, the only gainers were telecommunications operator Vodafone Group (VOD) and tobacco company British American Tobacco (BTI), which rose 6.1% and 2.3% respectively.
The decliners in the UK and Ireland were led by educational publishing company Pearson (PSO) and Trinity Biotech (TRIB), which dropped 8.4% each. They were followed by biopharmaceutical companies MorphoSys (MOR) and Mereo BioPharma Group (MREO), which fell 7.6% and 7.3% respectively.
