They were followed by biopharmaceutical firm Orphazyme (ORPH) and optical bonding company VIA optronics (VIAO), which rose 5.6% and 4.6%, respectively.
The decliners in continental Europe were led by dating app operator Spark Networks (LOV) and consumer goods company Unilever (UL), which lost 2.3% and 1.5%, respectively. They were followed by telecommunications company VEON Ltd. (VEON) and biopharmaceutical firm Genfit (GNFT), which declined 1.1% and 1%, respectively.
In the UK and Ireland, the gainers were led by biopharmaceutical company Amarin (AMRN) and software firm Endava (DAVA), which climbed 10% and 4.8%, respectively. Airline operator Ryanair Holdings (RYAAY) added 4.4% and biopharmaceutical firm Bicycle Therapeutics (BCYC) gained 3%.
The decliners in the UK and Ireland were led by education publisher Pearson (PSO) and biopharmaceutical company Mereo BioPharma Group (MREO), which lost 1.8% and 0.8%, respectively. They were followed by telecommunications operator Vodafone Group (VOD) and utilities provider National Grid (NGG), which lost 0.7% and 0.4%, respectively.
