European ADRs Rise Sharply in Tuesday Trading

In continental Europe, the gainers were led by biopharmaceutical company Cellectis (CLLS) and dating app owner Spark Networks (LOV), which climbed 15% and 7.9% respectively. They were followed by 3D printer company Materialise (MTLS) and biopharmaceutical company MorphoSys (MOR), which rose 6.3% each.

The decliners in continental Europe were led by kidney dialysis company Fresenius Medical Care (FMS) and medical device maker EDAP TMS (EDAP), which lost 7.3% and 2% respectively. They were followed by biotech company Forward Pharma (FWP) and biopharmaceutical company Genfit (GNFT), which dropped 1.4% and 0.6%.

In the UK and Ireland, the gainers were led by biotech firm Autolus Therapeutics (AUTL) and financial services company HSBC Holdings (HSBC), which climbed 8.1% and 6.7% respectively. They were followed by biopharmaceutical company Bicycle Therapeutics (BCYC) and oil and gas company Shell (SHEL), which rose 5.4% and 5.2%.

The decliners in the UK and Ireland were led by biopharmaceutical company Verona Pharma (VRNA) and construction materials supplier CRH (CRH), which fell 1.9% and 1.3% respectively. They were followed by biopharmaceutical company Akari Therapeutics (AKTX) and utilities company National Grid (NGG), which were down 1% and 0.6%.
