Company Information
Mitsui Chemicals, Inc. manufactures and sells petrochemicals and industrial inorganic chemical products. It operates through the following segments: Life and Healthcare Solutions, Mobility Solutions, ICT Solutions, and Basic and Green Materials. The Life and Healthcare Solutions segment provides a range of products, including vision care, oral care, personal care materials, and agricultural chemicals, aimed at improving health and quality of life. The Mobility Solutions segment focuses on manufacturing elastomers, functional compounds, and polypropylene compounds, while also supporting new product development for industrial products like automobiles. The ICT Solutions segment manufactures and sells materials for semiconductors, electronic components, optical technologies, lithium-ion batteries, next-generation batteries, and high-performance food packaging. The Basic and Green Materials segment produces and sells essential chemicals and materials like ethylene, propylene, polyethylene, polypropylene, catalysts, phenols, PET resins, and industrial chemicals. The company was founded on July 1, 1955 and is headquartered in Tokyo, Japan.
